Rotterdam to jedno z większych miast Holandii i największe miasto portowe w Europie. Otrzymał prawa miejskie w 1299 roku, a to z czego dziś słynie najbardziej, czyli porty, powstały w XVI wieku. W czasie naszej wizyty zauważyliśmy, że Rotterdam jest bardzo nowoczesnym miastem, przepełnionym architekturą współczesną, a powodem tego jest fakt, że w czasie II wojny światowej niemieckie naloty, obróciły to miejsce w ruinę. Mimo naszego zamiłowania do miejsc historycznych, Rotterdam nas nie rozczarował.
Rotterdam is one of the largest cities of the Netherlands and the largest port city in Europe. It received its city rights in 1299. Ports, what are most famous there were built in the sixteenth century. During our visit, we noticed that Rotterdam is a very modern city, filled with contemporary architecture, and the reason for this is the fact that during the Second World War, the German air raids, turned this place into ruins. Despite our passion for historic places, Rotterdam did not disappoint us.
